CANCELLATION POLICY : You can rest assured that when you place a booking with miropark that it is secured ! No double booking is our guarantee. We make our commitment to you that the house will be available as advertised and as you expect. So we ask the same from you, that by placing a booking we will tell others that we are full as we are expecting your arrival. Sometimes events will happen that no one can forsee, and a cancellation occurs. You can take out travel insurance for your holiday, which will cover any lost or damaged items, and loss of payment due to cancellation. Cancellation is not accepted due to weather conditions. Mt ruapehu is an alpine environment and winter brings lovely snow, it also at times brings rain and poor visibility and bad weather. Miropark is not obliged to accept any cancellations because of weather conditions, snow conditions, or mountain conditions including volcanic eruptions. If you choose to cancel your booking at any time a $50 administration fee applies in addition to the amounts stated below and will be deducted from any money returned to you. If you cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to your booking commencing a full refund less the administration fee will be returned to you. If you cancel your booking within 28 days of your booking commencing, then a refund will only be issued if another booking is made by another party, in which case a full refund less the administration fee will be made. If no replacement booking is secured and paid for then no refund will be made. If for any reason your booking must be cancelled by miropark a full refund will be given with no administration charges and we will attempt to find you alternative accommodation that is suitable for you. You will not be obliged to accept any other accommodation and can choose a full 100 % refund. Miropark will not be liable or responsible for any other costs associated with the cancellation, other than a refund of payments you have made to miropark.
The person making the booking is referred to hereafter as the ‘client’. The client must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the booking. The client must be authorised on behalf of all other members or the party to the booking. The booking is made on the basis the Booking Conditions shall apply to all members of the party. By making the booking, the client confirms that he or she is so authorised and that other party members agree that the booking is subject to these Booking Conditions. The client is responsible for making payments due to Miro Park Ohakune. The booking is made on the basis that the client agrees that no liability can be accepted by the Owner or manager of Miro Park Ohakune for any expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums of any description which relate to the occupation of the premises howsoever suffered or incurred. The client and all members of the party agree both to keep the property clean and tidy and to leave the property in a similar condition as it was found upon arrival. The client and all members of the party further agree not to use the property for any commercial or unlawful purpose.
The client is responsible to the Owner for the actual costs of any breakage or damage in or to the property – along with any additional costs that may result – which are caused by the client and/or any members of the party and the Owner can require payment from the client to cover any such costs. The client must not allow more people than stated in the original booking to occupy the property without consent of the Owner or Miro Park Ohakune. If this were to occur without consent, an additional payment will be required to compensate the Owner for the loss of revenue and all associated costs incurred resulting from the occupation of the property. Neither can the client or any member of the party take any animal into the property unless this has been arranged in advance and acknowledged in the booking confirmation. If the client does any of these things, the Owner can refuse to hand over the property, or may repossess it. If the Owner does so, this will be treated as a cancellation by the client. In these situations, no refund of any monies paid in respect of the booking will be made and neither will the Owner have any liability to the client as a result of this situation arising. The client agrees to vacate the accommodation by 10am on the end date specified on the Itinerary unless otherwise and previously agreed with Miro Park Ohakune. When the client receives confirmation of their booking, the details must be checked carefully. If anything is not correct, the client should advise Miro Park Ohakune immediately. Once the confirmation to the client has been sent, this signifies that the Owner has entered into a contract with the client which is subject to these Conditions.
